The audio was terrible until I filed off a fraction of a millimeter from the collar and then the cable fit properly into my laptop's audio output jack, making the audio sound great, as expected. Is quality going down? Shrinkflation?
"I just ordered more of these 3.5 mm to 1/4 TRS balanced cables to add to the ones that I already have. Unfortunately the new ones are slightly different than the other ones I have purchased 1-4 years back. The cable is not as thick as the older ones. Also I noticed where the cable goes into the TRS connector it is not as tight of a fit and appears to be a different connector or the connector has also changed. I hope these work and last as long as my others but it appears to me that these are not as good of quality as the ones I received previously."
